Toy Horse

Toy Horse
Part of the Fire Horse Exhibition
This exhibition brings together 70 risograph prints created in response to our international Open Call on the theme Fire Horse, inspired by the Lunar New Year and the arrival of 2026. Artists from around the world were invited to work within a shared set of simple constraints: a fixed colour palette, format, and direction, resulting in a vibrant and diverse collection.
The horse, a symbol of movement, strength, companionship, and transformation across many cultures, became a powerful starting point for personal interpretations. The overwhelming response of more than 500 submissions reflects the energy and growth of the global riso community. Together, these works celebrate experimentation, storytelling, and the many ways risograph printing continues to be explored and reimagined
To complement the exhibition, we invited a selection of guest artists and risograph studios who inspire us and explore this printing technique in exciting and distinctive ways. Each was asked to create a special work for the occasion, produced as a limited-edition risograph print.
Teuntje Fleur is a graphic artist based in Rotterdam. In her work, she explores the power of color, form, and imagination to create a direct connection to the inner child. That playful, and intuitive part within every person. Her visual language embraces bold graphic shapes and a distinctive use of primary colors. By combining circles, triangles, and squares into dreamy yet powerful compositions, she evokes our earliest visual memories.
