“The Banquet” is part of a new body of work by Shian, and was exhibited as part of her first ever solo show, “Harbinger”
At the heart of this work is an instinctive exploration of animal symbolism and the reshaping of cultural memory. Inhabiting the space between tradition and instinct, it doesn’t offer resolution but rests in the unease of transformation. Where something is ending, and something else is just beginning to take shape.
