This 2 Day workshop is aimed at those who would like learn how to print photographs with riso using the CMYK process, and dive deeper into this technique.

What can you expect?

Day 1 - Introduction to risograph printing
setting up files & colour mixing!

• The workshop starts with an overview of how the risograph and its impact on photography - what is possible as well as its constraints.

• We will then go through the step-by-step process to learn how to prepare your image for riso printing. We will separate the images into channels, edit them and get them ready to print.

• We will look in detail at the riso driver and the options provided by the machine during printing.

• We will also experiment with colour mixing and colour printing order.

• You will print your first design!

You will het handy pre-recorded videos so you can start playing at home with the images of your choosing and prepare for the 2nd week.

Day 2- CMYK printing.

• In this second evening we will have time to look at your files and answer any questions you might have.

• You will be handling the machine yourself and…

• You get to print your design with 4 riso colours!

This is a workshop for people interested in experimenting and ready to dive into file-prep. Please keep in mind that this workshop is quite technical :)

Important: Participants should have their own laptop with Photoshop and (optional) InDesign installed!
