For my end project, I drew inspiration from my surroundings, especially the studio environment and my social life. I have always been fascinated by Riso prints because of the overlapping inks, textures, and grain create unexpected effects when viewed up close. Because of this, I wanted to create a piece that encourages the viewer to move closer to the paper and explore the details and patterns within the print.

During my research, I became especially interested in Moiré and Rosette patterns. Moiré patterns are created when lines or grids overlap and form new visual effects, while Rosette patterns appear as floral or geometric shapes through layered printing. I explored how these patterns could transform an illustration, using an image inspired by two of my friends dancing, I drew an illustration. Their movement and energy felt like the perfect base for experimenting with color and patterns.
