Child Memories

Child Memories
Part of our Summer Travels open call and exhibition.
Summer, for me, has always been synonymous with nature. As a child, I spent many summers diving into my grandparents’ pond, catching frogs and newts, emerging covered in a slimy sheen of mud and algae. These memories are bubbles of bliss and nostalgia that I hold onto to this day.
My grandparents are no longer around, but the pond still is, and I hope it can give many more children (and adults alike) idyllic summers like the ones I experienced - summers that quietly taught me the beauty of nature and the importance of protecting it.
