Welcome to the Riso Club! This is members page which you will have access to for the rest of the year. Every month this page will be updated with the monthly theme, paper special as well as resources and or inspiration gathered for you. My plan is to keep developing this page so it becomes more interactive, with help of your feedback, but for now this will be the basic version.

Quick Overview - Please read

• Monthly Theme (optional): Every month you will find an optional theme. This is to help you in case you need some inspiration.

• Paper: We print standard with Biotop 160gsm. Sometimes we have special paper that we will announce beforehand. You are welcome to bring your own paper as well, and if you’d like to use specific paper at the studio this will have extra costs.

• Calendar (fixed): When you scroll down you will find printing session date as well as the deadline to send in your files. We use this information to have paper stock ready and plan the printing sessions.

• Printing Session: Printing sessions will take place on the last Saturday of the months (with certain exceptions). You can decide to join the live session and print with us, or select the shipping option.
  I will always print your work as long as you send it before the deadline.

September Prompt: Autumn Vibes 🍂

The seasons are changing! The days are getting shorter, leaves are beginning to turn, and there’s that first hint of autumn in the air. From rainy bike rides and colourful leaves to mushrooms, warm drinks and cosy evenings, there’s plenty of inspiration to be found in this time of year.

This month, we’d love you to explore the theme Autumn Vibes. Think about what autumn means to you, it could be something you notice in nature, a seasonal ritual, a particular mood, or simply the feeling of summer slowly coming to an end.

For an extra creative challenge, we invite you to create your own two-colour autumn palette using the Riso Pop colours. You could go warm and classic with Burgundy + Sunflower, rich and bright with Burgundy + Bright Red, earthy with Flat Gold + Teal, or take autumn somewhere completely unexpected!

Think about how your two colours work individually, but also what happens when they overlap and create a third colour. Use this as part of your design and see how much you can create from just two inks.

We’re looking forward to seeing what autumn looks like through your eyes! 🍁

How to Tackle This Theme

Not sure where to begin? Here are a few ideas to get those autumn vibes flowing:

• Look around you: Take a walk and notice what’s changing. Fallen leaves, mushrooms, seed pods, bare branches, rainy streets, or seasonal fruits. Autumn is full of interesting shapes, textures and little details.

• Capture a feeling: Autumn doesn’t have to mean leaves and mushrooms! Think rainy bike rides, getting your favourite coat out again, warm food, darker evenings, windy weather, or that slightly nostalgic feeling of summer being over. What does Autumn Vibes mean to you?

• Get inspired by seasonal food: Autumn brings a whole new collection of colours, shapes and rituals to the table. Think pumpkins, apples, pears, chestnuts, mushrooms, soups, pies, warm drinks or your own favourite comfort food. Illustrate an ingredient, a dish, a recipe, or even the feeling of cooking and eating together as the days get colder.
