Having a Risograph studio gives us the opportunity to start projects that involve the community and which we can easily reproduce. Zines have been a favourite within the riso community, and at Riso Pop I would like to continue with this tradition.
A zine project organised by Veronica Romero on the exploration of the self-identity as the “other” - creating a space to tell personal stories from those with unorthodox backgrounds.
Submissions for this project are still open!
This initiative was started in a way to help with some positive distraction during the first wave of COVID in April, as well as to encourage participants to reflect on the current situation and share their thoughts.
“The local government has announced a partial ‘lock-down’ until the 6th of April. This means 3 weeks indoors with minimal social contact.”
For each week one zine was printed. At the end we had a collection of 3 zines, portraying each week that we passed in isolation.
Do YOU have an idea for a Community Zine?

A project where you are happy to collaborate and print together?
