Let’s get ready to combines storytelling with printing!
The aim of this page is to help you create a folded zine on A3 format.
As you scroll down, you will find 2 videos that you can watch to prep for the printing session (and yes, these were filmed at the old old studio :P)
Video 1: Introduction to Zines - Get to know more more about zines and what you can expect from the workshop.
Video 2: Planning a Zine - Steps on how to start with planning, tips & tricks as well as examples.
For this workshop we will be working with the riso scanner. You can use collage, drawings, text or photographs. We also have a small regular printer in the studio if you need to print things out here.

This video is a small intro to what are zines and a small journey into my zine collection. Remember that you will be printing on an A3 with two colours.
>> For those who want a challenge, make a poster for the back!

Let’s get started! Make a dummy & plan your zine! Decide the theme of your zine; will you be telling a story? What is your message? Or will it be a collection of your work?
Think about the reader.
For this first Riso zine, be careful not to become too ambitious! Remember you’ll have to separate your work into 2 colours and this can be time consuming.
You can download this PDF template to print and/or use the JPEG to insert in photoshop or procreate.
Important to note:
This template has a 5mm margin.
Print out or make your own - the placement of the cover & back can change depending how you fold.
